The Smokey Mountains June, 2012

First of all, the cabin was beautiful; 

We are a family of artists so we brought clay and art supplies and spent the day doing art in nature;

My sister and I went horse back riding in the mountains;

We also went zip lining, roasted hot dogs and swam in lakes;

 

I'm going to see Yellow card in Raleigh, NC

and I'm going to eat sushi. that is the plan. also, a few pics of different trips will be posted soon.

My family and I wanted to visit all the places my dad lived as a kid:

where my dad used to live

my sister at the rim rocks where my dad used to live.

Wyoming/Yellowstone

We drove through Yellowstone and saw bears, buffalo and horned sheep. We also went hiking and saw the Old Faithful.

South Dakota family reunion 

We had a family reunion and we stayed in cabins in the mountains. We were right by a lake and lots of trails. Here I went on my own little adventure for some solitary time.

the beginning of my hike. i didn't know it would take me four hours to get through it. i had no map (stupid i know) no water and no food. this was not a planned adventure. i thought it was just a little trail, not a hike. i got very thirsty and hungry. i had some chocolate in my pocket so i had that but i was very dehydrated. i remembered moss was safe to suck on and i also remembered what kind of water was safe to drink. i drank from the correct streams as often as possible because i wasn't sure when i would get water next. i also met some fellow hikers who gave me a bottle of tea.
